Summer has now officially come to a close.  This means that my current excuse for being lazy, “Because it’s summer™”, needs to be replaced.  I’ve got a few ideas that I’ve been kicking around:

·        Because it’s fall.

·        Because it’s autumn.

·        Because you’re ugly and I hate you.

I’m kinda leaning towards the last one.  The only problem is that it’s awfully similar to my excuse for not being lazy.  Could get confusing. 

In any case, now that I’m not in school anymore, the whole end of summer thing doesn’t affect me as much as it used to.  Back in my grade school days I really got some use out my summer.

Classmate:  “How did your summer go?”

FG:  “I was unaware what day it was during the entire month of July, and through much of August.”

Classmate:  “Yeah, my streak was broken when I heard fireworks and realized it was the Fourth of July.”

FG:  “Buy some earplugs, amateur.”

Those were the days.
