Speaking of Thanksgiving, I really don’t understand the day after Thanksgiving shopping thing. There may be some good deals out there, but I can’t think of a single scenario in which I’d be willing to go out there and push my way through the hordes of freaks.
The thing I really don’t get is that some stores just give away crap like 10-dollar gift cards, and yet people get excited. That seems completely backwards to me.
Person: “We’re going to wake up and go shopping at 4:00am tomorrow.”
FG: “I’ll pay you 20 dollars if I don’t have to.”
Then there was the big hubbub with the $300 laptops at Wal-Mart. Is it me, or do the riots always seem to break out at Wal-Mart? Maybe it’s their customers.
Person1: “They said they had 15 laptops.”
Person2: “Uh-huh.”
Person1: “And you’re number 23 in line.”
Person2: “Right.”
Person1: “You don’t see a problem here?”
Person2: “Something does seem a bit askew, I agree. But I’m going to be honest with you – I’ve never been very good at math. Hopefully my new laptop will be able to solve this conundrum for me.”
Mainly, I think people just love standing in lines.
