New Year’s Resolutions?  Oh yeeeah…

For the past couple of days the gym that I go to has been noticeably more crowded.  This obviously shouldn’t come to any surprise to me – I just wrote two posts about the resolutionists, and I’ve seen an onslaught of commercials advertising New Year’s sales at health clubs and diet plans.  Still, it’s always interesting to me to actually see people fall into such well-defined, clichéd stereotypes.  It’s like bumping into a character from a commercial on the street.

FG:  “Are you using this bench?”

Resolutionist:  “Yeah.”

FG:  “Ok.”

…

FG:  “So, uh… Do you know the Kool-Aid guy?”

Resolutionist:  “What?”

FG:  “Never mind, nothing, sorry.”

I think it may have been the actor who plays the Kool-Aid guy.  Awkward.
